Silicone Emulsions
Flexichem offers a large range of aqueous macro and micro silicone (polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)) emulsions for a variety of applications spanning many industries. Flexichem’s silicone emulsions range utilises non-ionic, anionic, and cationic surfactant technology and many different silicones and functional fluids, such as amino-functional, as the internal phase.
Simplistically, a silicone emulsion is a silicone fluid or functional silicone fluid of a specific viscosity, ranging from low to very high viscosity, that is emulsified or dispersed into water. Typically, most of Flexichem’s silicone emulsions are silicone oils dispersed into water known as oil-in-water emulsions.
